So it’s still summer in the Northern Hemisphere and there are some great roller skate events coming up. As it is super hard to keep track of them or find them, here’s a chronological list of meet-ups and bigger roller skating events.
Berlin: Mellow Jam Kulturfestival at Mellow Park
CIB Berlin is a part of this wonderful festival at Mellow Park, a huge skatepark, on August 20. & 21. This time roller skaters will be given an area to do what they want:

- a Ramp-Workshop for Beginners/Newbie with Kät @schadenfrollein

- … and full 2 days the Miniramps “Wickes Woodie” are reserved for us roller skaters

There’s going be so much more as Mellow Jam is a music festival so expect music on three stages: Hip Hop, Alternative Rock and Techno. Graffiti battle, a skateboard contest, BMX-Dirt-Race and of course Food, Drinks and chill areas!
Austria: Roller Skate Meet-Up in Vienna
It’s that time again! CIB Austria invites to their yearly three-meet-up from September 2. to 4. in Vienna!
Here’s an overview for the main program (though some stuff is still up to being announced).
Friday September 2., 5pm: Meet-up at the DIY Skatepark, St. Marx to say hello, hang out and skate.
Saturday, September 3. is workshop day with various workshops offered by local and international workshop coaches. Details will be announced soon. Keep an eye on CIB Austria’s Instagram page.
What is fixed: Zeit!Raum @skateparkpenzing from 9:30am to 11:30pm – including a great bowl area, with spine, mini, street area – everything your roller skating heart desires! Never tried wide trucks before? @wifaskates will be there with test skates and wide axles so you can try out new set-ups! Afterwards it’s off to the skatepark in Simmering with its great blue miniramp – perfect for learning new tricks!
Next stop: From 7pm @powerjam_roller_skates invite you to a sparkling roller disco at @garagegrande! No skates? No problem! There will be a rental by @wifaskates
On Sunday, September 4., there will be a relaxed lunch session at Copa Beach Skatepark, depending on the weather: pack your swimsuits! Shortly before 3pm it’ll be time to head to Karlsplatz for the monthly FLINTA* skate session. There’s room for conversation, getting to know local crews and skaters.
Eindhoven: Quad Skate Takeover at Area 51
If you ever wanted to skate the biggest skatepark in the Netherlands, this will be the perfect occasion—CIB has reserved the WHOLE PARK all evening!
There woll be skate time, workshops and a best trick contest.

Corby: Mega Meet UK
We already featured this huge event in Corby on September 4. in an article (click here to read more). But in short: CIB chapters are inviting for the Mega Meet at Adrenaline Alley, probably the biggest roller skating gathering in the UK so far.
Skate Love Barcelona
Skate Love Barcelona (September 15-18, 2022) is not just a unique international music festival on wheels, it’s without doubt the coolest roller skate event in Europe (or maybe in the whole wide world). This 6th edition will be another step up as it seems to be even bigger than the last one. The tickets sold out super-fast.
For the first time the whole festival will take place at the beautiful Mar Bella area and we are particularly super keen on the “Love Bowl Event” aka the skatepark day!
It will be hosted at Mar Bella skatepark by @_ragnaroll. The place and space for the Skatepark Masterclasses, and also, the most awaited competition: The Love Bowl Open Jam Contest, organized in collaboration with the Spanish Skating Federation and open to all international skaters.
PROGRAM
09:00 – 10:30h: Park only accessible for Masterclasses (SOLD OUT)
-Estro – Become a park skater
-Barbie – Carving and skatepark flow.
-Ragnaroll – Grinds and slides on rails.
-Bambi – Stalls, slides and tricks on transitions.

A Coruna: Bombastic Weekend Part II
After a first event in June, Bomba Hache is going for another round of her Bombastic Weekend with roller skating and surf lessons on the Spanish west coast. It’s taking place from September 23. to 25. One thing you need to know is that it is a 18+ event. There’s a website where you find all infos and booking options.
