It’s been already a week since we packed our bags and returned back to daily life. But we still spent much of the week reminiscing those dreamy days in Barcelona. This year’s Skatelove Festival was very special. After the fifth edition had to be cancelled in 2020, creator and organizer Michelle Barrios and her small team made it happen in 2021. They worked tirelessly against many odds to offer us pandemic-afflicted souls a wonderful and much needed event. Sure, it came with the restriction of limited tickets but we hope that next year life will be back to normal! For now, scroll through our photos from Skatelove Barcelona.
On Saturday, the Marina Day & Night party at the port of Badalona started off with some heavy showers. But rain can’t stop a roller dancer from having fun, especially when they crossed countries and ocean:
Sunday at skate park Agora the warm Spanish sun was back right in time. The area was nicely divided into a part where skaters would dance, chill and eat. While the skate park was reserved for workshops, an open jam contest and a pro demo, of course with some free skating time. Amazing humans such as Katja, Estro Jen, Ragnaroll and Spicy Ivey gave workshops before being joined in a demo by Bomba Hache, Dramamama, Peachsampras, Thais, Aylen and Agustina.
