It’s been a while since these two skaters have been to Europe but Lucia (@moc.o) & Barbie (@barbiepatin) are heading towards Barcelona and Berlin in a few days. To help fund their trip they are offering a full day workshop in each city: Barcelona, Sunday March 20th, Berlin, Saturday March 26th. Another workshop, you may ask? Well, you might consider this one as it is a different kind of proposal they are making. We think it’s quite refreshing.
Let’s be real, being a professional roller skater makes it still hard to finance this lifestyle. As many roller skaters dream about having a tiny percentage of the street skills which Barbie and Lucia own, they are now offering two full day workshops where you have the chance to learn how they approach their skating and mental game.
Euro Tour 2022: Barbie and Moco in Berlin & Barcelona
The workshop day will be divided into three blocks. First, there will be deep talks about goals (short and long term), expectations and motivation. Next step is to get moving and work on some tricks and the mental game. It will be interesting to see how they work with participants on the issue of unlocking tricks and overcoming mental blocks.
After a break the second block starts with the actual street session. The plan is to skate together, practice and motivate each other. The spots have not been revealed yet but the Berlin day will end at the famous Kulturforum while the day in sunny Barcelona ends at another legendary spot, the MACBA.
In the third and final part of the day they’ll invite everyone to a closing round to discuss the day and let everything sink in. There will also be a raffle among ticket holders with the chance to win skate equipment and hardware.
A really nice idea is that the whole day will be filmed and later edited into a video by @plandefinde so everyone receives a little film of the day. Leave your phones in the bag and focus on the experience.
According to Lucia and Barbie, all skill levels are welcome to join.
